BECAUSE.....
1. Jesus Christ is to be preeminent in all things, and that must include a student’s education. Jesus Christ is the key to education, for in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. An education which omits God, or does not give Him His proper place, is not God-honoring. An education in which Jesus Christ is central is the best preparation for the real world.
2. Because there are many different philosophies of life, but only Christianity is the right one. The right vantage point for viewing all of life, including education, in true perspective is the Bible. Southside Christian School gives a sound academic education which is integrated with the Word of God.
3. Because the serious problems of drugs, immorality, disrespect of authority, and lack of discipline. Academic standards are declining and most schools do not know how to solve the problem.

4. Because a student’s schoolmates have a strong influence on him, either toward God or away from God. The Christian School approach to music, drama, social life, and athletics is one of seeking to honor God. The Holy Spirit works in and through born again teachers, but not through unregenerate teachers. The Christian school works in harmony with the Christian home, supplementing it, but not supplanting it.

1. At Southside Christian School a student can move ahead faster or go slower if that is the best rate for him. He is not locked into a class schedule that goes if he has not learned; nor does he have to wait if he is able to advance ahead of his peers.
2. At Southside Christian School students experience social interaction through chapel, speech classes, art, field trips, sports, music activities, and competition at the Regional and International Student Convention.
3. At Southside Christian School, academic excellence is reality. Students must score 80% or above to pass any and all subjects. No one is socially promoted. The classroom requires hard work, responsibility, and discipline. The atmosphere is one of genuine love. Christian training and memorization of Scripture is built into the curriculum. Students learn at their own personalized speed, in a non-lock-step system.
4. At Southside Christian School, we are jealous for the minds and the hearts of the students. Therefore Southside Christian School families are expected to avoid music, TV, videos, movies, websites, etc. which promote rebellion, disrespect for authority, immorality, and/or other forms of Godlessness.
5. At Southside Christian School, our students wear sharp, neat, modest uniforms. Our uniform and personal appearance standards promote appropriate masculinity and femininity; and eliminate expensive clothing competition.
