ADMISSIONS - Policy and Process

Admissions Policy

Southside Christian School offers Kindergarten through the Twelfth Grade. SCS admits students of any race, color, and national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.

Parents and students are expected to be actively attending a Christ-centered, Bible-believing church.

Students are expected to refrain from such music and/or other various activities that promote immorality, rebellion, and disrespect for authority.

The school officials reserve the right to refuse the admission of a student.

Admissions Process

Parents and the prospective student/students must view a video presentation which details information about the Southside Christian Educational System. This is followed by an interview with school officials. The interview consists of three parts: The family group, the parents alone, and the prospective student alone. Following the interview both parents and school officials are given time for prayerful evaluation. If all parties feel that SCS is right for the student, the school officials will schedule a time for diagnostic testing. After the diagnostic data has been compiled and shared, all parties involved will come to a final decision about admission.
